hi september

So I’ve returned! August was an awesome month full of family visits. I rarely get those, so it’s been a real treat. First my parents, then Ange’s at the same time, then I went with my parents to California for my Aunt and Uncle’s 50th wedding anniversary and met my two sisters/besties there for a week! Phew. Of course I got sick the second day of vacation, but I struggled through it and still enjoyed every minute. I adore my family, wish I could see them much more than I get to.

Remember when I said I won 2 giveaways! How lucky was that? Hey maybe that’s why I got sick on vacation, to bring the luck balance back to equal. In any case, one of the lovely things I won, was this cushion from Baba Souk (via LakeJane! Thank you!) It goes perfectly on my new couch (visiting parents you know). With my home-made assortment of other cushions. It made me want to make a whole bunch of round cushions.  Aren’t they nice? Piping scares me a little though. Speaking of sewing, I had a slight frenzy at Beverly’s in San Luis Obispo, but more on that later.  Ahhh fabric shopping : )

Pares

So I’ve been super busy this week with my parents (the pares) visiting Montreal all the way from Aus. Not a lot of time for computing of any sort, however things should relax a little in the next day or two. In fact this weekend we have had my parents AND my boyfriends parents visiting – phew! That’s a lot of out of town people to entertain and feed. Luckily the weather has been superb, which makes exploring the city a pleasure.

I’ll tell you more soon, including the fact that I won 2 giveaways this week! 2!! Here’s a sneak peek of one of the packages that was sent to me from the awesome Baba Souk care of the lovely Lake Jane. Lucky meeeeee!
