Traditional block tutorial puss in the corner
TUTORIAL - Puss in the Corner
12” block (finished)
Cut
4 x white squares 4.5”
3 x turquoise strips 12.5” x 2.5”
1 x green strip 12.5” x 2.5”
(These are for strip peicing the smaller internal blocks. I work with minimal waste so these are tight, if that stresses you out, cut them a quarter inch longer!)
Sew the pairs of strips together. Two the same turquoise and one green + one turquoise. Press to the dark side. Lay the strips together and cut into 2.5” strips. You’ll have 5 of each. Now pair them up, nesting the seams and sew into 5 mini four patch blocks. Lay out your full block like the image and sew into rows. Then sew rows together into the whole. It should measure 12.5” unfinished.
If you wind up wanting to make multiples of this block, you can cut your strips 2.5” x WOF.
Enjoy!
